The Nonprofit Manager course will teach you how to start a nonprofit, including the most important aspect—your mission and how to define that. You will also study governance and leadership issues, looking at the laws that regulate nonprofits and codes of conduct as you learn how to run a nonprofit further. From there, you will be looking at how best to manage your volunteer program. You will learn how to handle nonprofit finances and, critically, how to create a budget. In the Entrepreneurship: Start-Up and Business Owner Management course, you will refine your start-up idea as you prepare for the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Certification. You will learn all business areas of an entrepreneurship venture, such as legal structure and requirements, funding sources, intellectual property law, operations, marketing, advertising, and finances. By course completion, you will create a comprehensive business plan to get your start-up idea off the ground and into the market.

This course offers enrollment with a voucher. The voucher is prepaid access to sit for the Entrepreneurship and Small Business ESB Certification certifying exam upon eligibility.

Workforce Development Kit

The content in the Workforce Development Kit covers a variety of computer and life skills that are crucial for success in the modern workplace. Hardware Requirements:

This course can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook.
Some content within the Workforce Development Kit may have individual hardware and software requirements. Much of the content within the Computer Skills section is not compatible with a Mac or Chromebook. Software must be installed and fully operational before you attempt any of the activities. A basic calculator with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate square roots may be required for some activities within the Math Refresher module.

PC: Windows 10 or later.
Mac: OS 10.6 or later. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.

Yes. This course prepares you to sit for the Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB) Certification Exam from Certiport.

Will I get a Certificate of Completion for the Workforce Development Kit?

The Kit is a library of information and content to be used as a reference while completing your ACT. There are no Certificates of Completion for the content found within the Kit. Any activities completed within the Kit will not count towards the completion of your ACT. Completion of your ACT should be your main goal.

Does the Workforce Development Kit prepare you for a certification?

The Kit is designed as a resource to help in your learning journey. There are no certifications available for this content.

How long will I have access to the Workforce Development Kit?
